It is not easy to write a review for something you don't like. From the critic standpoint it's hard to write an informative piece and sound intelligent when all you want to say is, "this music is pretty worthless." It also doesn't feel good to do so. Being an artist of the written word, I know how vulnerable it makes you to put your work out their to be critiqued. It double hurts to write a unfavorable review when that band claims Austin as their home. But I guess all Austin bands can't be awesome.
